First Holy Communion in Ba

On 31st October 2021, which also happened to be the 31st Sunday of the Year, the parish of Christ the King celebrated the First Holy Communions of 24 children who are studying at St Teresa’s School, Ba. Although we are still within the first month of the reopening of the liturgy, teachers and parents moved fast to complete the Communion lessons that had been ongoing through the ‘work sheet’ system of schools during the pandemic, and celebrate their First Confession on Fri 22nd October.

The weather blessed us with sunshine, and our liturgy was led by the town youth. Parents and staff then hosted the children to gift giving and breakfast in the Parish Hall after Mass. To our 24 young warriors of Christ, congratulations!!

Remember our simple Gospel message today “Love God with your whole heart and your neighbour as yourself”. Hang in there til we get you back at school, and help your parents as they now prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation of your elder brothers and sisters on 21st Nov, the 20th Feast Day of our renamed Parish of Christ the King.
