Responding to Gods Call
Every day God is calling us. As Columbans we are called to leave home, culture and language for a foreign land for the sake of the Gospel. We are called to leave our comfort zones, to cross boundaries and to reach out to the poor and the broken. Every day we have the opportunity to respond to this call. We must recognize his voice clearly and fully understand what he says. He inspires us to respond to his invitation and follow him.
Aim
Promoting vocations to the Missionary Society of St Columban is placed within the missionary vocation of all baptized Catholics. It is also seen in the wider context of the missionary apostolate to young people in Fiji. Discernment of God’s call is at the centre of this effort, Columbans promote vocations to the Archdiocese also. Within this broader canvas Columbans in Fiji are committed to inviting suitable young pacific men to discern if God is calling them to be Columban missionary priests.
