Media & Publications

E KaulotuFor the past 15 years we have been publishing ‘Kaulotu,’ a magazine that endeavoured to tell the story of Fiji missionaries from different missionary congregations working on mission overseas. This idea lasted for a few years. However, as time went by, it became more difficult to gather stories from other Congregations, we Columbans kept the magazine going. It focused on our own missionary stories written by Fijian Columban priests, students and Lay missionaries overseas. Kaulotu was published roughly once every quarter.

Kaulotu was widely circulated in Fiji, especially to our secondary schools. It has been well received.

With the advent of social media and the changes of personnel in our Mission Office, we decided to continue Kaulotu while making some changes. We will bring out some editions electronically, while aiming to publish a hard copy of Kaulotu for Mission Sunday. So we welcome this first e-Kaulotu. We hope you will enjoy reading the articles by Columbans here in Fiji and overseas.

So I welcome you all to the first ever official website for the Missionary Society of St Columban, Fiji and the Islands. I hope you will like the fresh and modern look to the website and logo and the improved navigation that will allow you to find the information about us more quickly and easily.

After many attempts to have a Columban Fiji Website developed to tell the story of our missionary activities here in Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati and the Solomons, we are finally there. Over the last few years we have done our best with our Columban Facebook Page and Social Media to keep the missionary message in front of people especially the youth.

After a busy few months of planning, designing, developing and testing, I am delighted to announce the launch of our new website to be found on www.columban.org.fj

So I welcome you all to the first ever official website for the Missionary Society of St Columban, Fiji and the Islands. I hope you will like the fresh and modern look to the website and logo and the improved navigation that will allow you to find the information about us more quickly and easily.

As we launch this new venture I would like to express deep appreciation to former editors, lay out artists, photographers, and article writers of Kaulotu.
