A glimpse of hope for continued growth

I've grown a lot in my awareness of poverty and the phrase "Preferential option the poor".

During the season of creation, members of this humble community of Isolina in Lima, Peru, have tried to create something out of nothing (dust), the beginning of a park for recreation for their increasing population, especially for the children. Even during these difficult times, when people work together for a common purpose, they bring a glimpse of hope for continued growth in community development.

This is one of the three designated communities where our Peruvian Columban lay missionaries were assigned to serve in their mission outreach every weekend for the last two years. As I returned to Perú to head this group in 2019, I've grown a lot in my awareness of poverty and the phrase "Preferential option the poor".
