The Real Patriot won the first prize because they showed creativity in pursuing different elements (Air, Water, Soil and Energy). They planted hardwood trees, saved rain water, river-clean-up and planted vegetables. They printed their own team t-shirts and a banner with their own logo, the project advertised on it. From their photographs it seemed that they were able to mobilize a lot of youth to become involved in the project.
The second runner-up were the Earthworms. They showed a lot of team spirit and commitment to the project. They were the first team to register. They produced a clear report and they showed initiative by asking for expert advice in how to go about the project.
