Fr Pat Visanti, 5 Columban Students Leave Fiji

25/7/2022,

Fr Pat Visanti got his visa for Australia and was able to leave for Pakistan on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Also at the airport this morning were Iowane Naio and Saula Seeto returning to Manila after 7 weeks holidays to complete their theology studies. They are experienced travelers and were able to accompany our three students going to Manila for the first time to begin philosophy studies at Loyola School of Theology.

Just before leaving Fiji for Manila.

Also at the airport was ex Columban student Atonio Matairatu (Muller) who was beginning a long trip to England.

The 5 students represented by Iowane presented their tatau (farewell) to Fr John McEvoy on Sunday evening, the 24th July.

A Columban gathering on the night of Sunday 24th July when the departing students presented their tatau.

It was accepted on Fr John’s behalf by Paula Suka. The last big Columban gathering in Suva for some time then had some photos taken and enjoyed a meal together.

We wish the students, Fr Pat and Atonia a safe journey and success in their endeavors.
