Visit from a Young Japanese Catholic, Satoshi Aoki

On Sunday 23rd of January, the Columbans had a visit from a young Japanese Catholic, Satoshi Aoki. Satoshi is from Fukuoka Diocese in the South of Japan, a diocese Fr Donal worked in. He now is married in Tokyo and is a civil engineer who works for the Government of Japan.

He currently is here on Government business in connection with the building of a new bridge. He and Fr Donal met on Saturday and he joined the Columbans for supper on Sunday.

Included is a picture of Pope Francis kissing Satoshi's eldest son when visiting Japan.

Also included are Frs. JJ Ryan, Frank Hoare, Paul Tierney, Felisiano Fatu, Myanmar seminarian Francis Ngbi and Lay Missionaries, Naanise Mounga and Kata Mukai.

Moving forward, Pope Francis has asked us to make Wednesday 26th January, a Day of Prayer that war may not break out between Russia and Ukraine.
