This initiative was implemented across various community groups:  mandali and small Christian communities, churches, catechists, parish level, and other religious organizations to encourage dialogue, cooperation, and harmony between diverse religious groups to appreciate the different cultures and religions, with interactions and reduced prejudices among faith groups/nation. I had the opportunity to visit the religious leaders/committees in their worship temples from the Sikh organization, Fiji Muslim League, the Methodist Church, Anglican Church, Shri Sanatan Dharm, the Arya Samaj and the Sai organization to promote Interreligious Dialogue.

The communities/representatives from various religious groups were very welcoming and shared their insights into how we can hold cultural events that showcase different religious traditions through music, art and food. These groups engaged very actively in listening to an Interreligious Dialogue talk to better understand different religious perspectives and practices to strengthen community ties and enhance mutual respect.

Hearing what Interreligious Dialogue is, the religious and communities felt more informed and open-minded about other religions. It can increase collaboration on community projects involving diverse groups. The Interfaith sessions and discussions involving multiple faith leaders can promote shared values and respect was mentioned by the different faiths and communities too.

The Interreligious Dialogue Awareness Initiative can successfully promote greater understanding and respect across various groups. The outcomes can increase awareness, improve relationships, and create a more harmonious coexistence among diverse religious communities.
