Today is the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord. Mary offers her son to God and learns that she too will share closely in Jesus redemptive mission.
This feast reveals the longing between humanity and divinity. Our deepest longings can only really happen in our relationship with God.
We also see Jesus, the Redeemer of the world, being presented to all of mankind. It is out of love that God the Father sent His Son into the world, because of love. When God comes to us in love, how do we receive Him?
Two exemplary models on how to receive the Son of God in the presence of Symeon and Anna are shown. Both await the Lord with great love and expectation. Today we encounter the Lord in innumerable ways. How we receive the Lord Jesus?
