Gospel Reading Mark 8: 27-33
Jesus began to teach the Apostles that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days. He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. Mark 8:31-32
Lord of strength, I know that You courageously and fearlessly faced the holy sacrifice of Your glorious Cross.
As I am invited to follow in Your footsteps, I find that fear can overwhelm me as it did Peter.
Please strengthen me in those times and give me the grace I need to say “Yes” to You no matter what You ask.
