Christ Jesus, the risen Lord - Photo:canva.com

God, our Father,
you come to us in newness,
and we go to you with our old habits,
You come to us in truth,
and we go to you in our illusions,
You come to us in holiness,
and we go to you in our cowardice.

Deliver us, Lord, from the fruits of death,
and grant us the joy of discovering your path,
in Christ Jesus, the risen Lord,
who leads us to you -
there to live, in the joy of the Spirit,
that love defies the on-rolling ages.

Amen.
