The Season of Creation started on the 1st of September and ended on 4th October.
The season of Creation was a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the Women’s Interfaith group in action for our common home.
Women are the heart of their families, also close to the mystery of God the source of life and love. The Women’s Interfaith Group attends meetings to discuss projects together occasionally coordinated by Ms. Pescila Magdalin to work for justice, equality, promote harmony and create a culture of peace for the wider society. We believe that religious people can become stronger in their own faith and be empowered/enriched by meeting and working with people of other faiths.
It was the first project by the Women’s Interfaith Group where women from diverse faith backgrounds celebrated the Season of Creation on Saturday 2nd of September 2023.
The aim was to create a powerful movement to raise awareness and strengthen ties and share our faith with each other, our experiences, our feelings, and our thoughts.

The women’s group arrived with plants and seedlings, each symbolizing their faith's reverence for the environment. Hindus, Christians, Muslims, and individuals from other faiths came together to exchange and learn from each other. The act of exchanging plants served as an expression of their shared responsibility for care for the Earth and the people.
This religious event brought lots of fostering friendships and understanding among women from different faiths. It was a learning for environmental conservation is a common thread that can unite people of all backgrounds.
This Season of Creation was a beautiful demonstration of how women from diverse faiths can come together to care, promote environmental stewardship, and build bridges of understanding and respect for other religions.
The Sema group from the Raiwaqa parish sang a song on creation as a closing prayer and finished the afternoon with refreshments.
