Prayer

O Thou kind Lord! Unite all.
Let the religions pray for peace in our world and make the nations one,
so that they see each other as one family and the whole earth as one home. May they all live together in perfect harmony.
O God!

Religions can build peace and unity and bring peace to the world. All religions uphold the same values of truth and love, brotherhood and compassion. They only seem different because of the different forms and names they have given to God. We are created to live in community with one another. There is a beautiful union that takes place when God’s people join in a shared prayer. We have all been created as unique individuals with different talents and abilities, but we are also called to seek God.

Genesis 1:27 states that God made man “in his own image,” meaning that humanity was granted a particular likeness to God. We become more and more like him everyway.
