From 26th to 29th November, Noa Tuivunilagi, the Columban Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Coordinator, was honoured to be invited by the World Christian Community for Meditation (WCCM) to attend the WCCM Australia National Gathering, held in Adalaide.
During this event, Noa had the privilege of witnessing a thought-provoking talk delivered by the renowned theologian and poet, Rev. Dr. Mark Burrows. Rev. Dr. Burrows described the contemplative practice of meditation as an experience of “letting-be-ness” – an invitation to truly be present in each moment. His words resonated deeply with all those gathered, highlighting the transformative power of meditation within the Christian tradition.
Inspired by this gathering and the wisdom shared, Noa hopes to share the gift of meditation more widely through his ministry, especially among communities in Fiji. By drawing on his experiences at the WCCM National Gathering, Noa seeks to encourage others to embrace the contemplative practice of meditation, nurturing a sense of presence, peace, and openness to the Spirit in daily life.
