Fr Euikyun Carlo Jung was born in 1982 in Inchoen, South Korea. He joined the Missionary Society of St. Columban in 2001. He studied in the Catholic University of Korea and Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois (M.Div.). Fr Carlo came to Fiji for the first time in 2011 for his First Mission Assignment (FMA). He studied Hindi language in Sakoca, Suva and Naleba, Labasa. |
He became a permanent member of the Society on the 2nd of October, 2013. He was ordained as a missionary priest at Yeonsu Parish (his home parish) in Incheon on the 3rd of May, 2014.
He went to Myanmar in the year 2015. He was a spokesperson of the Myanmar Team.
Fr Carlo was re-assigned to Fiji from 2017.
Fr Carlo received the bachelor degrees in Law (LL.B.) and Taxation and Accounting (B.S.).
He was appointed as a parish priest of Holy Family Parish Labasa from August 2020.
Fr Carlo is currently the Parish Priest of Holy Famiy Parish, Labasa. He is also the Vice Regional Director of Oceania and a Regional Councillor.
