The inspiring solo dance by a youth named Aanvi talked about responsibilities of Ocean and our future, and biodiversity. The dance promotes care for ocean and the environment. The message she shared with the other faith groups that nature is sacred and the earth is worshipped as Bhumi Devi, rivers are revered as goddesses, and ocean is honoured as Samudra Deva (Samudra means ocean and Deva means- God) The dance told the story of humanity’s relationship with nature-from harmony, to pollution, and finally to restoration.
Aanvi began with a prayer to mother Earth and Ocean, showed the beauty of forests, rivers, marine life, and sea. She expressed the pain of the Earth and Ocean through emotional movements and concluded her dance may there be peace in the heavens, the sky, the Earth, the waters, and all of nature.
