For more than 40 years, Columban missionaries have been at the forefront of protecting the environment from destructive practices and promoting sustainable alternatives. Our experience of living with the natural world and with marginalized and exploited communities has inspired us to seek ways to restore right relationships with all of God’s creation.
Here in the Oceania Region the threats and challenges to our Environment and Way of life has definitely increased due to Climate Change, Loss of Biodiversity, Covid 19, Globalization and the increased exploitation of our Natural Resources and Environment.

We have produce a video with Caritas Fiji Archdiocese of Suva and the Communication Department at Nicholas House to show the “ Cry of Mother Earth” and to highlight the environmental injustices being done to the Vanua and her People. It has also being further improved by Fiji Tv production team and this has been our first production which was sponsored by Columban Mission Fiji and Caritas Archdiocese of Suva.
To produce a 30secs video commercial, costs about $3500.00 fj dollars and it was indeed a very technical and expensive project but the risks and rewards are worth it.
A big Vinaka Vakalevu to the two organisations for standing up for the Care of Creation and all those involved in the making of it.
