Our workshop at Hilton, Denarau was a break through as we all come together from different sectors under the Humanity umbrella to try learn, share and effectively put into action how we can Prevent and Protect each other from different forms of Atrocities.
The Pacific Human Rights Defenders Network has now become a better and stronger platform for the promotion of Justice and the protection of all Human Rights with it's due Responsibilities as new members of each sectors have stepped up to take this challenging role.
I thank the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the Pacific region and Queensland University Asia Pacific Center for the Responsibility to Protect for enabling this workshop to happen since it has given the opportunity for other members to effectively engage in our discussions, especially the Legal sector.
We have alot to do together and to contribute to the work of Justice and Peace in the Pacific region and also to the whole world.
We stand with the Ukrainian people in this very difficult time and call the United Nations of the world to work together to bring understanding
and work for Peaceful solutions for the sake of all the people that will suffer in this conflict.
