Justice for our Ocean - Part 1 - JPIC Report
Anti – Nuclear Waste Dumping – Fukushima – Japan - March 25th-Aug 23.
Our voice is loud and clear. The Pacific Ocean nation and her people have often been at the receiving end of abuses from bigger nations and the western systems. Colonization, slavery, Nuclear testing, World War, Overfishing, Pollution, Phosphate mining, Deep sea mining, Foreshore mining, Climate Change, Bio-Diversity loss, Sea level rise and now again to be the dumping ground of Nuclear Waste. We demand Justice for our Ocean and now is the Time for it.
We rise and we fight for we are the children of the Ocean, the stewards of our Sea as we marched in hundreds to show our Disapproval on Ocean pollution.
Under heavy Police presence we marched through the main Suva city to the Government building for this is also the first time we are having a march, - after a long time speaking out on this sensitive and crucial issues in our region.
